System AdministrationYour computers and access, kept in order

System administration is the invisible part: who can access what, how the computers are set up, whether there are backups. When it’s done right, nobody notices. We take it on so you don’t depend on improvised fixes.Administration of users and devices: accounts and permissions, consistent workstation configuration, backup and NAS, secure remote access, and documentation of the setup. Remotely and on site.

When you need it

  • A former employee still has access

Old accounts and shared passwords are a risk that rarely gets noticed in time.

  • Every computer is different

Without a common standard, every fix takes longer.

  • Only one person knows how it’s set up

When that person isn’t around, every change is a risk.

What we do

We manage users, permissions and computers to one standard. We look after the backups and secure access from outside. And we write down how it’s all set up, so it doesn’t depend on one person.

  • Clear who can access what
  • The same setup on every computer
  • A written record of how it’s set up

The technical scope of this service is in Technology View.

Common questions

How is this different from IT support?

IT support fixes specific problems for people. System administration looks after the setup itself: accounts, permissions, settings, backups. The two usually go together.

Can you take over a setup someone else built?

Yes. First we review what’s there, write it down and suggest improvements in order of importance.

Who removes access when someone leaves?

We do. Setting up, changing and closing accounts is part of the service.
