Websites

We build new websites and fix old ones. A good site answers customers’ questions while you’re busy working, and gives them a reason to get in touch.

What a website does for your business

What actually happens when someone looks you up online.

  • The first impression

A lot of people look you up online before they call. What they find often decides whether they ring.

  • Trust

Clear services, real photos and real contact details show there’s a working business behind the name.

  • When you’re closed

The website answers questions on a Sunday evening, when you’re not picking up the phone.

  • Clear information

Services, opening hours, address, terms. In one place, without people calling about each one.

  • Being found

A well-structured site helps you show up when someone searches for your service in their town.

  • Enquiries

With a form, a phone number you can tap and a clear button, it’s easier for people to get in touch.

  • A channel you own

A social media profile belongs to the platform, and its rules change. Your website and domain are yours.

Check your website in a minute

Six questions. The result stays with you and isn’t sent anywhere.

  1. Do you have a website?
  2. Does it work well on a phone?
  3. Is it immediately clear what you offer?
  4. Can visitors contact you easily from it?
  5. Is it maintained? Are the prices, contact details and security certificate up to date?
  6. Does it bring you enquiries?

Answer every question to see the result.

What we offer, and on what terms

Each of these comes with conditions. We put them here so you know them before the first conversation.

  • At least 20% below a comparable written quote

If you have a written quote from another provider for the same scope and functionality, we’ll quote at least 20% less for the same work.

    Conditions

    • The quote is in writing and current.
    • The scope and functionality are the same: pages, languages, features, timelines and any maintenance included.
    • We compare once we’ve agreed the scope together.
  • Up to 31 calendar days for the agreed scope

We build the agreed website within 31 calendar days, provided the conditions below are met. When we agree the scope, we tell you whether the project fits that timeframe.

    Conditions

    • The scope is agreed in writing.
    • The deposit has been paid.
    • We have the materials we need: text, images, logo.
    • We have the access we need: domain, hosting, accounts.
    • Time spent waiting for your approvals or materials doesn’t count.
  • If the delay is entirely our fault

If we don’t finish the agreed scope within 31 calendar days and the delay is entirely our fault, your deposit may be refunded under the terms of the contract.

    Does not cover

    • delays on your side
    • missing materials
    • changes to the scope
    • additional requests
    • delayed approvals
    • missing access
    • third-party delays (hosting, domain registrars, suppliers)
    • force majeure
  • A place in our portfolio

If you agree, we show your site in our portfolio, at no charge. You can change your mind at any time. It’s a place on our site, not paid advertising elsewhere.

The exact terms are in the project contract. If this page and the contract differ, the contract applies.

Why CONTROL ALT DELETE

What’s different when your website is with us.

  • Not just a web studio

We also look after companies’ computers, networks and cameras. So with us, the domain, SSL certificate and hosting aren’t “someone else’s problem”.

  • One technology partner

Website, IT, network, security and automation in one place. When something stops working, you know who to call.

  • Clear next steps

Before we start, the scope, timeline and price are in writing. After that, you always know which stage we’re at.

  • A project you can see

The SolvX Capital website is our work, and we still maintain it. It’s further down the page, so you can see it for yourself.

  • You deal with us directly

You write or call us directly. We explain things in plain words, without jargon.

  • Only what you need

We start from what the site needs to do for your business. If you don’t need something, we’ll say so, even if it means a smaller order.

What we check

Before a site goes live, we go through these. This site was built the same way.

  1. Works on phones

We check every page on a phone, tablet and computer before it goes live.

  2. Loads quickly

Light pages, optimised images and no scripts the page doesn’t use.

  3. Accessible

Easy-to-read text and enough contrast. The site also works with a keyboard and a screen reader.

  4. Clear structure

Pages and headings are organised logically, for people and for search engines.

  5. Easy to maintain

Tidy, documented code that someone else could work with too, not just us.

  6. Checked before launch

Forms, links and buttons are checked before any customer clicks them.

  7. Ready on day one

SSL, the domain and the basic search engine settings are in place on launch day.

Technical standard

What goes into the sites we build.

  • Responsive, mobile-first layouts
  • Semantic HTML and a logical heading hierarchy
  • WCAG 2.2 AA as the accessibility target
  • Optimised images and fonts, lazy loading
  • Technical SEO: titles, descriptions, canonical, hreflang, sitemap
  • Multilingual content when needed
  • HTTPS, plus security headers and a Content Security Policy where the hosting allows it
  • Hosting, domain and SSL set-up

A real website you can look at

We built the SolvX Capital website and still maintain it. You can look around it right here.

Questions about websites

How long does it take?

Up to 31 calendar days for the agreed scope. The timeframe applies once the scope is agreed in writing, the deposit is paid and we have the materials and access we need. Time spent waiting for your approvals or materials doesn’t count. When we agree the scope, we’ll tell you whether the project fits that timeframe. The exact terms are in the contract.

What do I need to prepare?

Your logo if you have one, text about your services, photos, and access to your domain if you already have one. If something is missing, tell us and we’ll work it out together.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the scope: the number of pages, the languages, the features. That’s why we don’t publish prices. Describe what you need in CAD Start and you’ll get a specific quote. If you have a current written quote from another provider for the same scope and functionality, ours will be at least 20% lower. We compare once the scope is agreed.

Do you maintain the site after launch?

Yes. Website maintenance is a separate service: content changes, updates, domain, SSL and hosting.

Can you improve my current site instead of building a new one?

Sometimes that makes more sense. We’ll look at your site and tell you honestly which is the better option.

Tell us about the website you need.

Answer a few questions in CAD Start and we’ll come back with a specific proposal.
